Dear Members and Friends of First:

                        Revitalize First’s adult program! was the mandate from the Board to the Taskforce on the Adult Program.  The Board wants stimulating, but feasible, recommendations.  Before making our recommendations, the Taskforce needs to get input from the members and Friends of First who would be served by future programs.

Attached is a survey about the Adult Program.  For it to be useful, we need . . .

·         Responses from a high proportion of adult members and Friends of First

·         Reflective and candid responses from everyone

The efforts of the current taskforce and future program committees will be shaped by your well considered and truthful answers.  Please think concretely about your possible future participation.

For our purposes, we define Adult Program as religious courses, other relevant courses and activities for members and Friends of First who are 18 years of age or older.  Courses run for a defined period and focus on a specific topic.  The survey’s focus is on courses and activities for adults and not on other worthy activities such as religious education for children or teenagers, worship, or social action.

Please return your completed survey by Sunday, December 13, 2009.  The survey itself is anonymous.  However, if you wish to provide additional feedback or offer detailed suggestions, please provide it separately on the back of this letter with your contact information.  Then we will follow-up with you.

Boxes, clearly marked “Adult Program Survey”, will be available for collecting completed surveys.  They will be located in the foyer/narthex and in the congregational office.  To return your completed survey by mail, send it to the congregational office and clearly mark the envelope “Adult Program Survey”.
