As Unitarians we believe all people, with or without a faith community, should have access to personalized ceremonies to mark important life events and transitions. Our Lay Chaplains provide ceremonies for many rites of passage including:

  • Weddings and Renewal of vows
  • Memorials and Graveside Services
  • Child Namings and Dedications
  • Coming Out Ceremonies
  • Other Blessings

Our Lay Chaplains are members of our congregation who have been selected carefully, trained to design and lead beautiful ceremonies, and licensed to perform weddings in Ontario. They will be pleased to meet with you to design a ceremony which reflects your values and personal spirituality. To arrange a conversation with a Lay Chaplain, please contact our Chaplain Coordinator at 416-924-9654 x3010 or This email address is being protected from spambots. Ceremonies can take place in a variety of locations: in our sanctuary, at a home (private or institution), in public or private halls or gardens.
