Ladies-in-Waiting

Date: Friday, May 10, 2013 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm

After years of development and its debut at Toronto Fringe Festival last summer, Ladies-in-Waiting is coming as a fundraiser for First Unitarian.

Seduction, betrayal, beheadings... the wives of King Henry VIII have a few things they'd like to set straight!

Ladies-in-Waiting is a play that brings together several generations of women to explore aging, power, regrets, hindsight, and the pain of unrequited love. As Henry VIII lies dying, his six wives convene to throw his welcome to the afterlife party. This play will stimulate your brain, tug at your heartstrings, and give you something interesting to talk about!

Co-written and directed by Toronto First's very own Kate Kudelka, (NOW Magazine's "emerging artist to watch").
