Flower Communion (Sun. 26 May, 2013 10:30 am - 11:30 am)

Sermon by Rev. Shawn Newton.

Join us on Sunday for our annual celebration of Spring, as we create a grand arrangement of flowers that will be a reflection of both our individuality and our place within our community.

I will be joined by a team of members who attended the Canadian Unitarian Council's Annual Meeting & Conference last weekend in Calgary in sharing reflections on the conference's theme: diversity.

Please remember to bring a flower (or a few!) with you to mark this ritual.

(If you aren't able to make it to First with a flower, know that there will be flowers waiting for you.)

In love and faith,
Shawn

Find out you how to keep your bikes in good condition, how to change a tire, how put the chain back on if it falls off, etc.

You can bring your own bike so you can try those techniques yourself, but if you don't have a bike or are unable to ride to the Church, this workshop will still be a great learning experience for you.

Bike Works and Cycle Toronto of Ward 22 will be here, and Toronto Cycle will provide information about safe cycling and what their organization is doing to make Toronto's streets safer to ride.

This is a free Event to help promote safe cycling.
