Art Show Reception
Jean Galt: You'll notice my fondness for trees and the unending patterns in nature. I just like my paintings to focus on a few so you don't miss them.
Wendy Ounpuu: I’ve been sewing since I was five years old, when I was taught to embroider by Irish nuns at a convent in the U.K. After sewing clothing all my adult life, I took up sewing for pleasure thirty years ago. I’ve gone through many phases and have gone off in many directions, and I still love sewing.
Wendy Dines: Preparing the pieces for this show pushed my boundaries to explore my aesthetic sensibilities. It has forced me to consider the techniques and materials I employ and to use ones not in my usual repertoire. It has confirmed the joy I experience when playing with the colour and texture of different fibres.
Join the artists at their opening reception Sunday, October 23 from noon to 1 pm.
See examples of their work on our Art Shows page.
The exhibit runs until November 27.
