Issues & Ideas: Courage

Date: Sunday, November 25, 2018 12:15 pm - 1:30 pm

Our open discussion circle will meet in the Library, with reports on two books.

On the theme COURAGE, Sue Berlove reviews The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk, a novel about Sarah Grimke, a South Georgia plantation owner’s daughter, the slave girl she befriends, and their fight for the abolition of slavery. Ellen Campbell reviews Mark Morrison Reed's Revisiting the Empowerment Controversy: Black Power and Unitarian Universalism.

Everyone is welcome - come and join the discussion.
