Reconciliation: what does it mean and what can we do?
The Truth and Reconciliation Commission Report contains 94 Calls to Action about what needs to happen to make amends for the damage done by the residential schools. Many of us want to help but are unsure what to do. Join us for lunch and a Scrupling session on Sunday, April 29 following the service. Scrupling is a Quaker practice designed to reflect on common concerns and seek paths forward. This Scrupling session is Sponsored by First Unitarian Congregation’s Reconciliation Working Group.
A light lunch will be provided.
You can read about the Scrupling Process, a Brief Introduction to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the Summary of the First 42 Calls to Action, which deal with Legacy.
