CUSJ Day

Friday, May 20, 9:00 am–4:00 pm.  Calling all Unitarians to come to the Members' Lounge at City Hall for a spectacular view of Nathan Philip's Square and a chance to envision our future together in a socially just and sustainable world.  This is your opportunity to meet like-minded Unitarians and take on a more hands-on role in our organization.
Following the AGM at CUC in the early afternoon, three presenters will speak about 'Sustainable Living', including our very own Judy Velland of Green Neighbours 21, Mairy Beam of Whole Village and Mike Nickerson, author of Life, Money and Illusion, followed by discussion.  You may also join us at Spring Rolls Restaurant at 5:00 p.m. by reserving a spot at our newly designed website at www.cusj.org.
And on Saturday afternoon (Session C) be inspired by guest speakers Dr. Peter Victor, an economist and professor in the Faculty of Environmental Studies at York University and Ann Emmett, a retired teacher and founding member of COMER (Committee on Monetary and Economic Reform).  Together, we can make a difference in the world.

100 Kilometer Lunch

The Green Team is happy to announce another 100 km lunch on November 13, the day our Green Sanctuary status is officially introduced to the congregation. The value of being 100 km means that food that we serve has been grown within a 100 km radius of Toronto, thus being fresher and using less energy to transport. We will serve both cooked and raw food, with recipes.
