Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of members will be held in Sunderland Hall.


Business to be carried out includes:

  1. Receipt of the 2018-19 annual report.
  2. Election of new members to the Board and to the Nominating Committee.
  3. Approval of the audited 2018 financial statements & Review of Financial Sustainability Plan.
  4. Minutes of the 2019 Annual Budget meeting and minutes of the 2018 AGM.
  5. Bylaw amendment Motion to change S.4.2.ii Bylaw in part
    "the membership of Funds Management Committee (FMC) is to between minimum of 5 & maximum of 6 members".
  6. Organizational updates: Director of Administration introduction.
  7. Real Estate Task Force update and reveal of sale info.

In order to vote you must be a member in good standing, i.e. have signed the membership book, are 18 years of age or over, and have made an identifiable financial contribution to the support of the congregation during the immediately preceding 12 months. All members are encouraged to attend.


A light lunch will be served prior to the meeting (suggested donation $5).

Congregational Budget Meeting

Please plan to participate in the Congregational Budget Meeting on Sunday February 23, 2020 beginning at approximately 12:15pm. We will be voting on the proposed budget for Jan-June 2020 and on proposed changes to the congregation's By-Laws.

All members who have made an identifiable financial contribution of any amount to the operating budget of the congregation in the last 12 months are entitled to vote. A light lunch will be provided; child care will be available.

Congregational Annual Meeting

Please login to register at noon at so we can process everyone and begin by 12:30.

We will review audited financial statements for 2019, and the budget for 2020/2021 among other topics, including a resolution to support the principles of Just Recovery for All. The agenda and reports are available here.

Please note the Annual Meeting Logistics for Attendees and the following:

  • To be eligible to vote you must be a member who has made an identified financial contribution, of any amount, to First’s operating budget during the last 12 months.
