Creative Writing Exploration

Toronto First Unitarian, 175 St. Clair Ave E (SW corner St. Clair & Avenue Road)

Resolve to engage your creative self in the new year. We give you the openings then you are free to explore in story, poetry, stream of consciousness, haiku... wherever your creativity roams. NO JUDGEMENTS ALLOWED! All you need is a notebook and a pen and permission to leave fear and doubt behind.

We’ve expanded the program so you can also stretch your creative muscles and develop a longer work of writing over the 6 weeks. Those already working on a project can choose to bring that in. Those without a previous project will have the opportunity to build an intentional piece with guidance from the facilitators. You are welcome to bring a laptop for this part of the session — battery charged please.

Find your voice, nurture your muse, and (re)connect with your creative self.

$30 for 6 sessions: Thursdays Jan 23, 30, Feb 6, 13, 20, 27.

Spirit in Practice

Regrounding Ourselves in the New Year

Come to Shaw Hall to join Intern Minister Stephanie Gannon and Seminarian Ben Robins for a day of reflection on our Unitarian Universalist values and identity and how we can use different spiritual practices to find deeper grounding and resiliency as we enter the new year. We'll spend part of our day together gaining hands-on experience with various spiritual practices and then sharing what was and wasn't effective. No experience necessary. All are welcome!

Please bring your questions as well as a notebook or journal and wear comfortable clothes you can move around in. A vegetarian lunch will be provided for a suggested donation.
