Hoofs & Heads (Sun. 6 May, 2012 11:30 am - 12:30 pm)

Hoofs & Heads - A Swap Meet

Save the planet and your wallet! The Green Team invites you to another “swap meet” on Sunday, May 6, during coffee hour. This time we will be swapping anything for your feet or head. Bring sandals, slippers, rubber boots, flippers, skis, snowboards, hats, earmuffs, headscarfs, etc., clean and in good condition. Bring items you’d like to pass along to a new home and place them on the tables in Workman Hall before the service. After the service, choose items for yourself or friends. No money changes hands. After coffee hour, if any of your donated items remain, please take them home or deliver them to a charity yourself, to ease clean-up.

Newcomer Orientation (Sun. 6 May, 2012 11:45 am - 12:45 pm)

Held in the Board Room after the service on the first Sunday of each month.

Issues & Ideas – Books That Changed My Life (Sun. 6 May, 2012 12:15 pm - 1:30 pm)

BETWEEN HOPE AND DISMAY: Claude Marchand reviews The Better Angels of our Nature by Stephen Pinker and Doug Campbell reviews Time for Outrage by Stephane Hessel.

We meet in the library, usually on the first Sunday of the month, 12:15-1:30 pm (unless otherwise indicated) when two congregation members present reviews of recently accessioned books followed by an open discussion. Suggestions for topics and books, and volunteers to review them, will be very welcome. Please contact Gerta Moray (416-488-9939 or This email address is being protected from spambots.
