“Apocalypse Wow! (An Advent Story)” (Sun. 25 Nov, 2012 10:30 am - 11:30 am)

Sermon by Rodrigo Solano-Quesnel, Intern Minister.

Advent approaches, heralding preparations for another holiday season: a holiday with roots in celebration and anticipation for a new kind of world.  This year, a Maya tradition gives another date that has gotten people thinking about major transformations in the planet.  Appeals for action from scientists and social movements speak likewise.

There is urgency in many of these accounts, and a sense of despair that can often come with this sort of thing.  And in the midst of these, the opportunity they proclaim can be missed.  The time to seize those opportunities is nigh!

Blessings,
Rod
