"Hold on to what is good" (Sun. 6 Nov, 2016 10:30 am - 11:30 am)

Sermon by Rev. Shawn Newton.

We’ve been duly warned against throwing the proverbial baby out with the bath water. This month, as we focus on the theme of “letting go,” it’s worth considering when to hold on, and what to hold on to. Some things are worth saving. Some things are not. How do we know the difference? I hope to help answer that question on Sunday.

In faith and love,

Issues & Ideas: Letting Go (Mon. 7 Nov, 2016 12:10 pm - 1:10 pm)

The congregational theme this month is Letting Go.

In the Library, after coffee, we shall consider two books that question how we regard our lives.

Judy Magney will discuss Learning To Fall - The Blessings of an Imperfect Life by Philip Simmons, and Terri Palmer will show that Vance Packard's classic, The Waste Makers, is as relevant as ever.

Whether you need to let go of material goods, or past ambitions or expectations, do come and join in the discussion. Bring your reactions and reflections to the Library on Sunday after the coffee hour.

Everyone is welcome.
