Not So Simple (Sun. 26 Mar, 2017 10:30 am - 11:30 am)

Sermon by Rev. Shawn Newton.

Nothing seems as hard to achieve, sometimes, as simplicity. In contrast, complexity is a breeze! It’s everywhere, in abundance. As life grows more complicated, simplicity is ever harder to come by. In its place, it can be tempting to settle for simplicity’s cheap substitutes—for mindless escape or for watered down explanations about the world around us.

But what if we came to better appreciate simplicity’s essential relationship with complexity? What if we were to understand the complications of our life as a vital part of growing in wisdom?

I look forward to taking up these questions with you in Sunday’s service.

In faith and love,

View the Order of Service.
