Sermon by Danielle Webber.
“Any day now, any day now, I shall be released.”
Bob Dylan’s familiar words may strike a chord with anyone feeling pressured right now...feeling stressed or weighed down. We naturally resist these feelings, and sometimes our resistance is indeed urgently needed. But this Sunday, as we continue to explore the theme of “Resistance” throughout the month of April, we explore how our personal resistance can at times impede our personal growth.
How are we “putting up resistance” today, and how might we soften our resistance when needed? With poetry, music and both ancient and contemporary wisdom, we’ll reflect on how resistance is an integral part of the human journey, and one we can approach with creativity and love.
