Healing and Wholeness (Sun. 15 Oct, 2017 10:30 am - 11:30 am)

Sermon by Rev. Lynn Harrison. There are times when our spirits cry out for healing: when our bodies yearn for comfort and our hearts long for connection. When we feel broken, how can we be restored to a healing wholeness? Do we have to work hard to find it, or is it here for us all along? This Sunday, we’ll turn to some of the most beloved poetic voices of our time, to guide us toward the wholeness that can heal. As well, we’ll take time this Sunday to honour and celebrate the ongoing work of the Unitarian Universalist United Nations Office. With this year’s theme of “Arm in Arm: Interfaith Action to Disarm Our Planet,” the UU-UNO continues its crucial leadership in a world so in need of healing and peace. Join us, for a Sunday morning of healing, hope and inspiration. View the Order of Service.

Elements of Magic (Thu. 19 Oct, 2017 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm)

This new course, co-sponsored by Our Pagan Grove and Womynspirit, is facilitatated by Michael Franklin & Sandra Willow Lang. It is an introduction to the basic principles of the Reclaiming magical community, with a focus on the elements of magic with which we work – air, fire, water, earth and spirit. In the Reclaiming tradition, magic is “changing consciousness at will”. We will learn foundational arts and practices, using tools such as trance/guided meditation, chant, silence, movement, divination and discussion. Delve into the Earth-based roots of Paganism and Unitarianism. Experience a deepening of meditation and awareness of mystery. The program is for you whether you are new to earth-based spiritual practice and learning ritual skills for the first time or experienced and seeking to deepen your connection with community and the elements. Cost: $20 for materials (or pay what you can). All are welcome. Register by This email address is being protected from spambots.
